From where the party finish climbing the cliffs & going through the caves collecting items to get to the summit, defeating Schizo along the way, making it there at the same time Rufus & co. do, they start to make their way down to Sephiroth, obtaining items & the Neo Bahamut materia in the process, Sephiroth sicks Jenova-DEATH on them to where Cloud entrusts the Black Materia to Red XIII in an attempt to keep it away from Sephiroth.
